GLB HOLIDAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. COSTS

GLB Holiday quotations are based on anticipated costs and are therefore subject to amendments, these anticipated costs increase are due to circumstances beyond the control of GLB Holiday. 

  1. DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT 

A 50% deposit of the full amount is required on confirmation of services. The balance is to be paid no later than 30 days prior to commencement of services. The following exceptions apply: 
a) Should any of the service providers deposit or payment conditions vary from the above. 
b) Should a seasonal deposit be required? 
c) Should bookings be made less than 30 days prior to arrival in which case full payment is immediately required. 

  1. CANCELLATION POLICY

The date of cancellation shall be deemed to be the date when the written cancellation notification is received in the office of GLB Holiday. The following conditions upon cancellation will apply: 
a) Cancellation 45 - 60 days prior to departure will constitute a 50% forfeit of the cost of the tour.
b) Cancellation 30 - 45 days prior to departure will constitute a 75% forfeit of the cost of the tour.  
c) Cancellation 30 days or less prior to departure will be a 100% forfeit of the cost of the tour. 
The following exception applies - Should the specific payment conditions of any service provider vary from the above, their cancellation policy will apply. 

  1. REFUNDS

Once the tour has commenced refunds will not be made for voluntarily missed tours, meals or other special activities unless special arrangement has been made with GLB Holiday. In the event of a full refund, GLB Holiday will charge a service fee to cover administrative costs. 

  1. ALTERATION TO SERVICES

GLB Holiday reserves the right to change arrangement of any route should conditions necessitate. The services would be amended to offer substitute services of equal value or cancel the operation of any scheduled service. The company will not be liable for any loss or damage that may be incurred by any alteration, suspension or curtailment of services. 

  1. ACCOMMODATIONS

The accommodations listed are subject to availability at the time of making the booking. 

  1. VISA / INOCULATIONS

Visas and immunization requirements vary from country to country and up-to-date information should be obtained from your local health department and/or consulate. 

  1. BAGGAGE INFORMATION

Passengers will be allowed two pieces of luggage on certain International flights. The total dimensions may not exceed 107 linear inches for both pieces and weigh more than 20kg. One carry-on piece may also be taken, if it can be stored under the seat or in the above holder. The measurements for the carry-on luggage should not exceed 45 inches and weigh more than 7kg. Please check with your airline for up-to-date specifications and regulations. 

 

  1. AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

The passenger ticket shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the passenger. The carriers concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not aboard the aircraft or conveyance. 

 

  1. RESPONSIBILITY

GLB Holiday, their outfitters, operators of the tours and/or suppliers of their services only act as agents regarding the travel by plane, coaches, minivans, cars or by walking. GLB Holiday and/or the suppliers assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, war, insurrection, revolt, civil uprising, strikes, and any Force majeure occurring in either the country of origin, the destination or country of passage. No matter if these acts occur by default and/or any company/person engaged in conveying the guests or person/s to complete an arrangement of the tour or via any method not mentioned. GLB Holiday and/or the suppliers cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes made to the tour. All such losses or expenses will be the responsibility of the participant of the tour. GLB Holiday reserves the right to make minor adjustments to the itinerary as well as to cancel any tour prior to departure. GLB Holiday may not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any luggage during the tour program. The acceptance of the final documents, vouchers or tickets shall be deemed to be consent towards the above conditions.

  1. DISCLOSURE

Please be aware that during your participation in any tour certain risk and dangers may arise including but not limited to hazards in travelling around under-developed areas, travelling by plane, boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of conveyance. Please be advised, that GLB Holiday cannot be held liable for any unforeseen forces of nature, political unrest and/or accident. GLB Holiday cannot be held responsible, if guest contract any illness and  guest/s do not have means for rapid evacuation or medical EMS. Please also be advised and understand that GLB Holiday cannot be held liable regarding administering of medical care or the adequacy of any medical care administered. It is understood that GLB Holiday will use the best effort to ensure all adequate measures are taken. By signing this Tour Contract you agree to voluntarily participate in these activities with the knowledge of some activities weighing slightly towards the adventurous. You accept all risks involved with each of the activities. By accepting and signing this agreement with GLB Holiday, you agree not to make a claim against GLB Holiday and/or its employees. You release GLB Holiday from all claims and demands you may incur regarding bodily injury, suffering, death or property damage arising from your participation in any of their tours.  Acceptance of the Tour Contract will serve as the release of Liability and the Assumption of Risk agreement. This agreement is binding on your heirs, legal representatives and assigns. If any portion is unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

GLB Holiday shall not be liable for failure to perform any of their obligations in terms of this agreement if the failure was due to circumstances beyond its control, including war (whether declared or not), civil war, civil violence, riots and revolution, acts of piracy, acts of sabotage, violent storms, cyclones, earthquakes, floods, destruction by lightning, explosions, fire, destruction of machines or installations, boycotts, strikes, lock-outs, go-slows, work stoppages, acts of authority (whether lawful or unlawful). In summary, GLB Holiday cannot be held liable for any unforeseen political occurrence nor any Force Majeure.

 

  1. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

It is strongly recommended and advisable, that every traveler takes out personal insurance against any cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, loss and/or damage to personal property and loss and/or damage to luggage. Neither GLB Holiday nor the persons acting for or on behalf of the Company shall be held liable for any loss or damage arising from any cause whatsoever. The causes referred to would be: Any omissions contained in brochures or other literature, omissions on the webpage or social media, late / non-confirmation or acceptance of reservations, any loss or damage caused by delays, accidents, sickness, injury, death, whether caused by negligence or not. GLB Holiday may, at its own discretion and without any liability or cost to itself, at any time cancel or terminate a passenger’s reservation. This will be done in the event of illness, illegal trades offered or the incompatible behavior of a passenger/guest. In these circumstances the passenger shall not be entitled to any refund.
